Detroit Style Ballroom

Detroit Style Ballroom is a partner dance that originated in Detroit and is commonly danced to R&B music. It has a smooth feel similar to traditional ballroom with its own urban flair that grew out of Detroit’s social dance culture.

In our beginner class we focus on the fundamentals including timing, basic steps, and lead and follow connection so anyone can learn. No partner required to attend a class.

👟 Please bring a separate pair of clean shoes to change into when you arrive. This helps us keep dirt, debris, and snow off the dance floor.
